Who it’s for

A new look without a repaint

A color change wrap goes over your factory paint instead of replacing it. When you’re ready for something different, it can come off.

Color change without commitment: try a color your car was never offered in, and keep the factory paint underneath.

Leased cars: a reversible change, as long as your lease terms allow it.

Chrome delete and blackout fans: gloss or satin black trim, badges and window surrounds.

Detail-focused builds: a contrast roof, hood, mirrors or stripes instead of a full wrap.

Enthusiasts and show cars: deep gloss, metallic and pearl finishes that read like paint.

Process

How a wrap comes together

01

Consult and color choice

We look at swatches with you in daylight, settle on full or partial coverage, and check your paint. Vinyl follows the surface underneath, so chips, peeling clear coat or recent paintwork need to be discussed first.

02

Wash and decontamination

A thorough wash, clay and a final wipe-down so the adhesive bonds to bare, clean paint.

03

Disassembly where needed

Handles, badges, lights or trim come off where needed so film can tuck behind edges instead of stopping short. Everything goes back on after install.

04

Install

Film is dry-applied in large sections, laid in the same direction on every panel and taken from the same production lot so the color stays consistent from panel to panel.

05

Post-heat

Every stretched area, recess and edge is post-heated so the film holds its shape and edges stay down.

06

Quality check

Reassembly, inspection under lights, a final edge check and an aftercare walkthrough at pickup.

How long it takes

A full color change is a multi-day appointment, while partial work like a roof or chrome delete takes less time. Timing depends on the vehicle, the finish and how much disassembly is involved, and we confirm it with your quote.

Aftercare

Keep your wrap looking new

First wash: wait at least 48 hours after install.

Hand wash with a mild car wash soap. Skip tunnel washes with brushes.

If you use a pressure washer, keep it well back from the surface and never aim it at edges or seams.

Clean off fuel spills, bird droppings and bugs right away.

No wax, polish or solvent cleaners, especially on satin and matte finishes. 3M’s 2080 warranty excludes ceramic coatings and other aftermarket additions, so check with us before applying anything.

Park in a garage or shade when you can. Hoods, roofs and trunks face the sun directly and have the shortest rated life.

See a lifted edge? Bring the car in early, before dirt gets under it.
